PARIS – Attended by Bishops from the Philippines, Pakistan, the USA; clergy from the USA, UK, Germany, France; family members and friends from Selma, Alabama and Hawaii; the Installation of Abp. Charles William Jones as the new Patriarch of the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church(ICCEC) held at The Parish of St. Paul, the Apostle in Paris on May 3, 2026, was indeed a glorious moment marking a new chapter, a new beginning for the church of ICCEC.
Abp. Charles Jones expressed his happiness for the new direction that has been bestowed upon him. “ I’m very humbled and grateful because God’s will is good. If I had not become the Patriarch, that would have been okay because God’s will is good,” he explained. He reiterated that what he would want to see is for every church of the CEC, every person, every parish in every continent to experience the fullness of Jesus.
There’s a lot of anticipation and hope for Abp. Ariel Santos because he believes that a lot is in store for us. He began this good work and he will be faithful to complete it.
Abp. Salvatore Corrado from Italy, whose church is in the process of joining the CEC, felt so blessed with the installation of Abp. Charles Jones. “This is a wonderful moment, a wonderful moment of the Holy Spirit.”
In his homily, quoting from Esther 4:14, Bishop Elmer Belmonte said, “I received the inspiration that we are for such a time as this. And it’s not our doing, it’s God doing, and we are all part of it. God is writing a new chapter in the history of the Charismatic Episcopal Church, and there’s such a great excitement in my heart and for our Patriarch elect because it’s marking the beginning and many more beginnings to come.”
