A New Place of Gathering for CEC Cologne

After almost 15 years celebrating the Holy Eucharist and other church community events at the Andreaskirche in Köln-Merkenich, located north of the city of Cologne, the Parish Church of St. John the Beloved gathered for one last mass on August 13, 2023 in this place of worship which was owned by the Evangelical church.

Unceasing search for an alternative venue took place, as well as several weeks of gathering wherever the parish could in order to celebrate the mass – whether it be a restaurant that doesn’t operate on Sundays or a public park. But this nomadic season did not last too long, as God had another location prepared for the people of St. John the Beloved.

The Evangelical community of the Ehrenfeld area in Cologne have opened their doors for the members of CEC Cologne to partake of the Feast in a beautiful church building edified in the late 19th century.

Starting October, Sunday masses of the Parish Church of St. John the Beloved take place at 12 noon at the Friedenskirche Ehrenfeld – Rothehausstraße 54a, 50823 Köln.
